Wharton Man Arrested During Narcotic Operation
Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, Esq., and Wharton Borough Chief of Police Anthony Fernandez announce the arrest of Daniel Q. Martinez, 56 years of age, in connection with an undercover narcotic investigation which took place in Wharton, New Jersey.
On Friday, July 15, 2011 at 2:20 p.m., the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Special Enforcement Unit, Intelligence Crime Task Force and Tactical Team along with the Wharton Borough Police Department executed a search warrant and arrest warrants at the residence of Daniel Q. Martinez located at 18 Fern Avenue, Wharton, New Jersey.
Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, Esq. stated:
"The defendant was taken into custody outside his residence without incident. The investigation was the result of a collaborative effort by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Special Enforcement Unit, Intelligence Crime Task Force and the Wharton Borough Police Department after developing information concerning the alleged on-going drug distribution activity which was taking place at the defendant’s residence.
The Wharton Borough Police Department received a number of complaints concerning this location and they have been extremely proactive with regard to their investigative efforts in cooperation with the Morris County Prosecutor's Office. This is another example of law enforcement’s coordinated efforts at a local and county level".

The defendant was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 no 10%, with a bail source hearing.
